Pakistan’s KSE-100 Index dropped 1,463 points on Tuesday, closing at 179,846 after sustained selling pressure pushed the benchmark below 180,000.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan’s stock market came under heavy selling pressure on Tuesday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index losing 1,463 points and closing below the key 180,000 level.

The bearish trend was visible from the opening of trading, as the benchmark index fell by more than 1,000 points to 180,076 points during the initial phase of the session.

Selling pressure persisted throughout the trading day, dragging the KSE-100 down to 179,846 points at the close.

The index had ended the previous session at 181,310 points, after recording a decline of 119 points.

The latest drop marked a sharp reversal in market sentiment, with investors facing substantial losses as selling intensified across the trading session.

The breach of the 180,000-point psychological threshold is likely to keep market participants focused on whether the benchmark can regain the level in upcoming sessions.
