Evidence of acid was reportedly found in young trader Mir Raza’s stomach, while police detained 21 people, including friends and business partners, as the investigation into his death widens.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – An important development has emerged in the case of young trader Mir Raza, with evidence of acid reportedly found in his stomach, while investigators have widened their probe and detained 21 people in connection with the case.

According to sources, Mir Raza’s lungs were severely affected by acid, while traces of acid and another person’s sweat were reportedly found on his shirt. Effects indicating the presence of acid were also found on his hands and feet.

Judicial commission to investigate Mir Raza's mysterious death

Sources said police have sealed a guest house located near the scene of the incident after declaring it suspicious. Six people working at the guest house have also been taken into custody.

A total of 21 people have so far been detained in connection with the case, including Mir Raza’s friends and business partners. Statements of the detained individuals have also been recorded.

Meanwhile, the Sindh government has decided to form a judicial commission to investigate the circumstances surrounding Mir Raza’s death. However, Mir Raza’s parents have refused to accept the formation of a judicial commission.
