RIYADH (Dunya News) - Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has described the signing of the Makkah Defence Pact between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye as a significant milestone for defence cooperation, regional security and shared prosperity among the three brotherly nations.
In a statement posted on X, Prince Faisal said the agreement signed by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the strong brotherly ties and mutual trust between the three countries.
He said the pact represents an important step towards strengthening defence cooperation and reflects the joint commitment of the three nations to addressing common regional security challenges.
The Saudi foreign minister added that the Makkah Defence Pact demonstrates the collective political will of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye to safeguard regional peace, stability and security while contributing to a safer regional environment.
Prince Faisal said the agreement would pave the way for a more secure future, promoting economic growth, prosperity and investment opportunities, with the people of all three countries expected to benefit from its positive outcomes.
