KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has announced the annual examination results for Class 12 Arts regular group for 2026, with students from Iqra Hifaz Girls Science College securing first and third positions.
In the position holders’ list, Anshrah, daughter of Muhammad Taufiq, secured first position with 926 marks out of 1,100, earning an A1 grade.
Aaqib Razzaq, son of Abdul Razzaq, of Government Degree College Konkar Village Gadap, secured second position with 919 marks and an A1 grade.
Humaira, daughter of Muhammad Shakir Lakhani, from Iqra Hifaz Girls Science College, North Nazimabad, secured third position with 918 marks, also achieving an A1 grade.
BIEK Chairman Faqir Muhammad Lakho said the performance of Aaqib from a government college reflected the hard work and dedication of the student, teachers and college principal.
He said the strong performance of students from government educational institutions in the intermediate examinations demonstrated that the standard of education in Sindh was continuing to improve.
BIEK Controller of Examinations Zareena Rashid said 10,459 candidates had registered for the Arts regular examinations, while 10,002 appeared in the exams. A total of 4,526 candidates passed, putting the overall pass percentage at 45.25 percent.
According to the results, 20 candidates secured an A1 grade, 274 obtained an A grade, 762 achieved a B grade, 1,647 received a C grade, 1,659 secured a D grade and 164 candidates obtained an E grade. Two candidates were declared successful under the pass category.
