HYDERABAD (Dunya News) - Tezgam Express bound to Rawalpindi from Karachi met an accident near Hussainabad area here on Tuesday when one of its coaches derailed.
According to railway officials, rescue and recovery operations were launched immediately after the accident, while steps were under way to put the affected bogie back on the track.
Officials said the derailment of the bogie has affected part of the main track, due to which train operation on the up-track has been suspended.
As a result, the movement of trains from Kotri to Hyderabad has also been temporarily stopped.
Railway sources said that it may take a few hours for the complete restoration of the track, while the restoration work is under way rapidly so that railway traffic can be restored to normal as soon as possible. No casualties were reported in the accident.
