LAHORE (Dunya News) – A case has been registered against a station house officer (SHO) and 11 other police personnel for conducting a raid on the residence of a senior government official in Lahore based on incorrect information.
According to reports, police raided a private residence in the Lahore Cantonment area after receiving information alleging that the property was being used as a brothel. Authorities later found that the operation had been carried out on the basis of false intelligence.
Police sources said senior officials immediately took notice of the incident and suspended SHO Irfan of Sarwar Road Police Station along with the other officers who participated in the raid.

A criminal case has since been registered against SHO Irfan, the investigating officer and the other personnel on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Mushtaq. Police have also issued charge sheets to all the officers involved.
A police spokesperson said the SHO had conducted the raid at the wrong residence, adding that both departmental and legal proceedings had been initiated against those responsible.
Further investigations are underway to determine responsibility and establish the circumstances that led to the mistaken operation.
