LAHORE (Dunya News) - A sessions court in Lahore on Tuesday extended the interim bail of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Punjab Assembly member Saqib Chadhar and his wife, Sameera, in a case involving alleged harassment and threats against actor Momina Iqbal.
Additional Sessions Judge Nusrat Siddiqui heard the case. During the proceedings, the investigating officer informed the court that the investigation against Saqib Chadhar had been completed and that he had been found culpable during the investigation.
The investigating officer further told the court that Sameera had submitted her mobile phone to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) two days earlier. The device has been sent for forensic analysis.
During the hearing, Momina Iqbal's lawyer requested the court to reject the accused's interim bail petitions. The court, however, directed lawyers for both sides to present their final arguments at the next hearing.
The court extended the interim bail of Saqib Chadhar and his wife until September 3 and adjourned further proceedings.
