KYIV (Web Desk) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Iran is already participating in the war against Ukraine by supplying weapons to Russia, warning that vigilance is essential against any potential new threats.
In an interview, Zelensky was asked whether Iran could launch a direct attack on Ukraine following the recent attack involving an Iranian aircraft.
Responding to the question, he said Ukraine must remain cautious and do everything possible to prevent the opening of another front in the conflict.
"The reality is that Iran and North Korea have already attacked us," Zelensky said. "We hope they will not escalate their actions further, but we must be prepared for every possible scenario."
Zelensky accused Iran of actively supporting Russia's war effort from the outset of the conflict.

He alleged that Tehran supplied Moscow with thousands of drones and later granted licences for their production, making Iran a direct participant in the war against Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Ministry has said that Tehran did not request negotiations with the United States to end the war, asserting that decisions regarding war and peace will be made by Iran itself.
During a press briefing, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei said Iran would never allow the United States to determine the timing of war or peace.
He claimed that after attacking Iran, Washington had expected Tehran to surrender within three days, but months later the US itself was facing difficulties.
