ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial has announced the commencement of annual income tax return filing for Tax Year 2026, with taxpayers across the country able to submit their returns from July 27.
According to the FBR, the annual income tax returns cover the financial period from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. Eligible taxpayers across Pakistan can file their annual returns until the deadline of September 30, 2026.
The FBR said the returns are to be submitted under the provisions of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, as amended.
Under the law, the Federal Board of Revenue is authorized to conduct a detailed scrutiny of the income tax returns submitted by taxpayers in accordance with the applicable legal framework.
