TEHRAN (Dunya News) - Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that it destroyed 11 US military aircraft and killed 200 American troops during its recently announced Operation Nasr II, although the claims have not been independently verified.
Speaking in an interview, IRGC spokesperson Brigadier General Hossein Mohebi said Iranian forces targeted US military installations during the operation, alleging that American air defence systems failed to intercept Iranian drones and missiles.
According to the IRGC spokesperson, Iran struck eight US military deployment sites and destroyed 20 shelters at one of the targeted locations during the operation.
Mohebi also issued a warning to Israel, saying Tehran would respond forcefully if Israel became involved in any future military confrontation.
He further warned the United Kingdom, alleging that a bomber aircraft had recently departed from a British airbase in support of the United States. He claimed that continued British cooperation with Washington could make UK facilities legitimate military targets for Iran.
The IRGC spokesperson called on the US government to allow journalists to visit the allegedly damaged military sites, saying such access would reveal the extent of the reported destruction and casualties.
The United States has not publicly confirmed the Iranian claims, and no independent evidence has been presented to verify the reported destruction of aircraft or the alleged death toll.
The statements come amid continued tensions between Iran and the United States, with both sides closely monitoring military developments in the region.
