RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – A customs official was killed and another injured when identified gunmen opened fire at their vehicle near Interchange Toll Plaza here on Thursday.
The dead personnel was identified as Jawad and the injured was identified as Baseerullah. Having being informed, rescuers and law enforcers scrambled to the crime scene and started investigation after shifting the dead and the injured to DHQ Hospital for medicolegal formalities.
After the spray of bullets, the customs vehicle caught a fire, which was brought under control after some time. Police were collecting forensic evidence and recording statements from eyewitness to the incident.
Police have launched a manhunt for the perpetrators, saying the killers would be arrested soon with the help of modern technology.
