MANILA (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with the United Kingdom's Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Ed Miliband, on the sidelines of the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) 2026 in Manila, where the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the longstanding Pakistan-UK partnership.
During the meeting, Dar congratulated Miliband on his appointment as the UK's Foreign Secretary and wished him success in his new role.
According to Pakistan's Foreign Office, the two leaders discussed a range of bilateral, regional and international issues, including the evolving security situation in the region.

The meeting also focused on recent regional developments, particularly the tensions between the United States and Iran. Miliband appreciated Pakistan's continued efforts to promote dialogue and de-escalation during the crisis.
Both leaders expressed concern over recent regional escalations and stressed the need for continued dialogue, diplomacy and sustained efforts to achieve lasting peace and stability.
