Oman appreciates Pakistan's constructive role in regional peace

Pakistan and Oman agreed to expand cooperation in trade, investment and diplomacy during a meeting in Manila, while stressing dialogue, ceasefire efforts and regional peace amid recent tensions.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Oman Foreign Minsiter Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi on the sidelines of the ASEAN Regional Forum in Manila.

The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of bilateral cooperation. They agreed to further strengthen collaboration through high-level exchanges, enhanced trade and investment, people-to-people contacts, stronger business-to-business linkages, and continued coordination at multilateral forums.

They also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments.

The Omani Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting dialogue, de-escalation, and regional peace and security.

Both sides expressed concern over the recent developments in the region, stressed the importance of upholding the ceasefire, respecting international law, and working towards lasting peace and stability in the region. They agreed to remain in close contact.
