ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Telecom operators across Pakistan have increased the prices of a range of mobile call and data packages, prompting the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to release updated tariff sheets for 15 hybrid and data-only packages.
According to the PTA, prices of some mobile packages have risen by up to 33%, with monthly call and data bundles becoming as much as Rs500 more expensive.
The revised tariffs also include increases of up to Rs300 for 15-day packages, Rs130 for weekly hybrid bundles, Rs21 for three-day packages, Rs20 for two-day offers and Rs5 for one-day hybrid packages.
The regulator said it has strengthened its consumer awareness section by publishing updated tariff sheets detailing the latest prices, validity periods, data and call allowances, and quarterly information for 15 hybrid and data-only packages.
The initiative is aimed at helping consumers compare packages offered by different mobile operators more easily and make informed purchasing decisions.
PTA said enhancing transparency in the telecom sector and protecting consumer interests remain among its top priorities.
