Tesla launches new balance bike for children

Updated on:

Tesla unveils a $225 balance bike for children aged two to five, with the first batch selling out soon after launch.

NEW YORK (Web Desk) - Leading electric vehicle company Tesla has introduced a new balance bike for children aged two to five, priced at $225, more than twice the cost of many standard balance bikes.

The bike has no pedals, motor or brakes, allowing children to propel it using their feet. It features a lightweight magnesium frame, a modern design and a seat that can be adjusted to five different height settings.

Despite its relatively high price, the bike sold out shortly after going on sale. A similar Tesla T-shirt priced at $30 also sold out quickly.

The company said pre-orders for the next batch will begin on July 31 and advised customers to place orders early due to limited availability.

Most balance bikes on the market are priced at around $100, making Tesla's offering significantly more expensive.

Tesla previously launched the Cyberquad for Kids, but its sales were temporarily halted after it failed to meet certain safety standards.
