The Pakistan Stock Exchange recovered from a steep early decline, with the KSE-100 Index closing 124 points higher at 175,927 on Monday.

KARACHI (Dunya News) — The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) staged a late recovery on Monday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index closing in positive territory after experiencing a sharp decline during early trading.

At the start of the first trading session of the week, the market came under significant selling pressure, causing the benchmark index to fall by more than 2,000 points. During intraday trading, the KSE-100 Index dropped to 173,636 points, reflecting cautious investor sentiment.

However, buying interest returned later in the session, helping the market erase most of its losses before the close.

By the end of trading, the KSE-100 Index had gained 124 points to settle at 175,927 points, compared with the previous closing level.

The recovery marked a positive finish after a volatile trading day. The benchmark index had closed at 175,802 points at the end of the previous trading session.

Market analysts said the session reflected heightened volatility, with investors responding to changing market conditions before bargain buying helped lift the benchmark index into positive territory.

The Pakistan Stock Exchange has witnessed fluctuations in recent sessions as investors continue to monitor domestic economic developments, corporate earnings, and global financial trends that may influence market sentiment in the coming days.
