LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced an extensive international schedule for the country's national hockey teams, with the senior side and youth squads set to compete in major tournaments across Egypt, Europe and Asia.
According to the PHF, the senior men's team will take part in the FIH Hockey World Cup Qualifier in Cairo before travelling to Belgium and Great Britain for matches in the FIH Pro League.
The senior squad is also scheduled to tour South Korea in September as part of its international campaign. In addition, the team will represent Pakistan at the Asian Games and the FIH Hockey World Cup.
Pakistan's junior and youth teams also face a packed calendar. The Under-18 boys' team will compete in the Asia Cup in Japan before travelling to Oman for the 5-a-side Hockey Championship.
Meanwhile, the Under-21 national team will participate in an international series in Oman, followed by the Junior Asia Cup in China and the prestigious Sultan of Johor Cup in Malaysia.
The PHF also confirmed that Pakistan's Under-18 girls' team is currently representing the country at the ongoing Under-18 Asia Cup in Oman.
The federation said the expanded programme of international competitions is aimed at strengthening Pakistan's return to the global hockey stage while providing young players with greater exposure and valuable experience against international opposition.
