Permanent arrest warrants issued for Omar Ayub in Nov 26 protest case

An Islamabad court has declared PTI leader Omar Ayub a proclaimed offender and issued permanent arrest warrants over his repeated absence in the Nov 26 protest case.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A District and Sessions Court in Islamabad has declared Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub a proclaimed offender and issued permanent arrest warrants in connection with the November 26 protest case.

Judicial Magistrate Shaista Kundi heard the case relating to the November 26 protest, during which Omar Ayub remained absent despite repeated court summons.

Following his continued non-appearance, the court declared him a proclaimed offender and ordered the issuance of permanent arrest warrants.

Omar Ayub is facing charges in a case registered at Secretariat Police Station under Section 144 and other relevant provisions of the law related to the November 26 protest.
