NANKANA SAHIB (Dunya News) - A suspect in rape and murder of a four-year-old girl was killed in the firing of their own accomplices during an alleged encounter with police in Warburton Police jurisdiction here on Sunday.
The suspect was identified as Faisal. His dead body was shifted to hospital for medicolegal procedures. He was accused of raping and murdering a minor girl. A murder and rape case was registered against him. Police were escorting him for recovery of murder weapon when he escaped from police custody.
Police were searching for him. During the manhunt, police on suspicion gave a signal to three persons riding a bike. But they did not stop and opened fire on police. During an exchange of fire, a suspect was killed, who was later identified as Faisal, and wanted in rape-cum-murder of a four-year-old girl. Police claimed the suspect was killed in the firing of their own accomplices, who escaped from the scene. Police launched a manhunt for them.
