PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to withdraw all controversial provisions from the provincial law governing the perks and privileges of members of the provincial assembly, saying the legislation will be restored in line with the 1988 Act.

According to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Adviser Shafi Jan, the decision was made during a meeting of the provincial cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on Friday.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati also attended the meeting via video link.
