LAHORE (Dunya News) – Rainfall lashed several parts of Lahore on Friday evening, bringing a welcome drop in temperatures and pleasant weather after a hot and humid day.
Showers were reported in Shahdara, Niazi Chowk, Abbott Road, Lakshmi Chowk, Shimla Pahari and surrounding areas. While some localities experienced heavy rainfall, others received light showers.
Strong winds accompanied the rain, significantly reducing the intensity of the heat and providing relief to residents.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast further rainfall in Lahore over the next two days as monsoon weather continues to affect parts of Punjab.
At the time of reporting, the city's temperature stood at 34 degrees Celsius, while winds were blowing at a speed of 26 kilometres per hour.
The expected continuation of rain is likely to keep temperatures relatively moderate and improve weather conditions across the provincial capital during the weekend.
