KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan's stock market closed higher on Friday, extending gains as investor confidence kept trading in positive territory throughout the session.
On the fifth and final trading day of the week, the benchmark KSE-100 Index opened sharply higher, surging by more than 1,800 points during intraday trading to reach 183,477 points.
The market, however, trimmed some of its early gains as the session progressed but maintained a positive trend until the close.
At the end of trading, the KSE-100 Index settled at 182,241 points, up 982 points from the previous close.
The rally followed Thursday's decline, when the benchmark index had lost 369 points to finish at 181,259 points.
The latest advance reflects renewed buying interest in the market, with investors helping the benchmark recover from the previous session's losses.
