KARACHI (Dunya News) - World Bank delegation met with Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon on Thursday and discussed transport projects, investment opportunities, and future infrastructure development plans in detail.
Sharjeel Memon briefed the delegation on the progress of the ongoing Yellow Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in Karachi. He said that the Sindh government is taking all necessary measures to complete the project on schedule while maintaining the required standards and pace.
He also stated that the government is introducing dedicated bus routes under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
The World Bank delegation praised the Sindh government's reforms and modern initiatives in the public transportation sector. They also commended the Electric Vehicle (EV) Bus Service and the Pink EV Scooty Scheme introduced for women, describing both initiatives as commendable.
