17 killed, 41 injured in Pakistan's monsoon rains, says NDMA

According to the NDMA, one person was killed and three others were injured in rain-related incidents during the past 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has reported continued loss of life and property across Pakistan as monsoon rains persist in different parts of the country.

According to the NDMA, one person was killed and three others were injured in rain-related incidents during the past 24 hours.

The authority's latest data shows that since June 26, a total of 17 people have lost their lives while 41 others have been injured in various rain-related accidents nationwide.

Among those killed were eight children, five men and four women.

Provincial figures revealed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded the highest death toll with nine fatalities, followed by Punjab and Balochistan, where four people were killed in each province.

The report further stated that of the 41 injured, 26 were from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, nine from Punjab and six from Balochistan.
