Official figures showed that more than 154,000 applicants opted for the government Hajj scheme, while approximately 49,000 chose the private Hajj scheme.

Punjab recorded the highest number of registrations with 95,000 applicants, followed by Sindh with 63,000. Around 28,000 registrations were received from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while 9,000 applicants registered from Islamabad.

The ministry said 5,500 people completed registration from Balochistan, while 1,200 applicants were from Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 600 from Gilgit-Baltistan.

The registration data also showed that 119,000 men and 84,500 women have completed the process so far.
