ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The government has completed preparations to launch e-PADS 2.0 as part of its "One Nation, One System" vision to further modernize public procurement.
According to the Managing Director of the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), the upgraded platform is expected to strengthen transparency, accountability and efficiency in government purchasing processes.
The PPRA chief said the first e-PADS system successfully processed more than Rs14 trillion worth of public procurement transactions during the 2024-25 fiscal year, generating savings of over Rs20 billion for the national exchequer.
He added that more than 10,000 government organizations and 51,000 suppliers have so far been registered on the e-procurement platform, reflecting growing confidence in the system and its effectiveness.
The PPRA managing director said the introduction of e-PADS 2.0 will further modernize the government's procurement framework, improve the utilization of public resources and strengthen accountability across public sector institutions.
