LAHORE (Muhammad Ashfaq) – In a major step towards digital governance and judicial reform, the Punjab judiciary has introduced five new digital systems to modernise court operations and improve transparency, efficiency, and administrative performance.

Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court Aalia Neelum inaugurated the new systems at a ceremony attended by Registrar Raja Qamar Zaman, Director General Judicial and Case Management Javed Iqbal Bosal, and other senior judicial officials.

Addressing the event, Justice Neelum said the primary objective of the digitalisation initiative is to ensure the timely and effective use of modern technology within the judicial system, helping eliminate unnecessary delays in the delivery of justice.

She stressed that the prompt dispensation of justice remains the judiciary's top priority, adding that the Lahore High Court is committed to judicial reforms that promote merit, transparency, and good governance.

The chief justice noted that the digital transformation would significantly improve both judicial proceedings and administrative functions, enabling the public to access faster and more efficient court services.

During the ceremony, Additional Registrar (IT) Jamal Ahmad briefed participants on the newly launched platforms, including the Secure Judicial Communication System, Lahore High Court Query Management System, Procurement Management System, Utility Bills Management and Monitoring System, and Notification Management System.

According to officials, these digital platforms will enhance transparency, speed, and oversight in judicial and administrative affairs while streamlining procurement, official correspondence, utility bill monitoring, and the issuance of notifications through modern technology.
