Zara Noor fumes at trend of pitting actors against each other

Zara said that social media often turns small incidents into unnecessary drama and creates fake rivalries between women for clicks and entertainment.

(Web Desk) - Actor Zara Noor Abbas spoke out against the online trend of comparing women and criticised tabloids for creating unnecessary competition between female actors just to get attention.

Zara recently faced criticism after liking a social media post that compared the performances of Sajal Aly and Sahar Hashmi in the drama Zanjeerain. Some people thought this meant Zara was criticising Sajal. To clear up the misunderstanding, she shared a message on her Instagram Story.

She wrote, "Go ahead and compare women, label them, and take things out of context. Make money and get views from these false stories. If it helps people pay their bills, I'm happy to let them."

Zara said that social media often turns small incidents into unnecessary drama and creates fake rivalries between women for clicks and entertainment.

Many social media users supported her statement, and it started a wider discussion about how the media often creates unnecessary competition between female celebrities.

Zara has often spoken about women's issues and challenged unfair social expectations. In an earlier interview, she talked about the double standards faced by working women and said that women are capable of balancing both their careers and personal lives.

She has also openly discussed depression and anxiety, encouraging people to take care of their mental health and make self-care a priority.
