KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Sindh Assembly on Sunday offered Fateha for the Pakistan Rangers personnel who were martyred while repelling a militant attack on a paramilitary forces building here.
Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon called on lawmakers to pray for the fallen personnel, paying tribute to their sacrifice in the line of duty. He said that five militants involved in the attack had been killed.
PPP lawmaker Saima Agha paid tribute to the martyred Rangers personnel, describing their sacrifice as a testament to their courage and commitment to protecting the country.
Provincial Assembly member Muhammad Owais condemned the terrorist attack on University Road, while MPA Musarrat Jabeen also offered prayers for a family that fell victim to a separate terrorist incident in the Dasht area of Balochistan.
Sindh government spokesperson Saadia Javed said the Rangers personnel laid down their lives in defense of the country and that their sacrifices would always be remembered.
At least three of Sindh Rangers personnel were martyred on Saturday while three militants were killed in the attack on the local Sindh Rangers headquarters.
