DPM, Bahrain FM discuss latest evolving regional situation

The two leaders discussed the latest evolving regional situation following the signing of the Islamabad MoU

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with the Foreign Minister of Bahrain, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani today (Sunday).

The two leaders discussed the latest evolving regional situation following the signing of the Islamabad MoU.

According to the Foreign Office, Al Zayani congratulated Dar on the signing of the Islamabad MoU and praised Pakistan's constructive role in facilitating the understanding. He expressed hope that the agreement would help promote lasting peace and stability in the region.

The Bahraini foreign minister also said he planned to visit Pakistan in the near future to personally thank Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and the Chief of Defence Staff (CDF) for their efforts in helping secure the ceasefire.
