Pakistan Navy played key role in Marka-e-Haq: PM Shehbaz

PM Shehbaz Sharif attended the Naval Academy passing out parade in Karachi, praising Pakistan Navy’s professionalism, role in Marka-e-Haq and commitment to regional peace.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended the grand passing out parade at Pakistan Naval Academy PNS Rahbar as chief guest, where he praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Navy and highlighted its vital role in Marka-e-Haq.

The prime minister inspected the passing out parade, appreciated the professional excellence of the Pakistan Navy and expressed satisfaction over the participation of cadets from friendly countries in the ceremony.

A dignified graduation ceremony was held for 125 midshipmen and cadets of the 33rd Short Service Course. The graduating batch also included midshipmen from Bahrain, Iraq and Djibouti.

Officer Cadet Alveera Hamza was awarded the Commandant Gold Medal, while Officer Cadet Hafiz Muhammad Ahmed Munawar received the Chief of Defence Forces Gold Medal. Academy Dirk Midshipman honour was awarded to Hadi Abbas Khan, while Midshipman Umar Mukhtar received the honorary sword for outstanding performance.

Addressing the passing out parade, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the nation’s sacrifices and public support remain Pakistan’s real strength, adding that the country continues to play its role as a proponent of peace in the international community.

He said peace and cooperation have become more important than ever amid the current global situation, adding that Pakistan seeks resolution of issues through peace, dialogue and diplomacy.

Congratulating the graduating cadets, the prime minister said their achievements are a matter of pride for the nation and will strengthen them in their journey of serving Pakistan.

He also praised the academy’s training and professional standards, saying the Pakistan Naval Academy is producing highly capable officers who will play an important role in the country’s defence and security.

Shehbaz Sharif said the Pakistan Navy is not only a strong defensive force but is also playing a vital role in promoting peace and stability in the region. He added that Pakistan has always prioritized peace and dialogue.

The prime minister further said the agreement between the United States and Iran is an honour for Pakistan, adding that Islamabad signed the memorandum of understanding as a mediator with support from Iran and other friendly countries. He said Pakistan-Iran ties would further strengthen following the recent visit of the Iranian president.
