Rupee extends gains as dollar slips further in interbank trading

The Pakistani rupee strengthened slightly against the US dollar, which fell by 3 paise in interbank trading, closing at 278.27 after continued downward trend.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Pakistani rupee continued its marginal gains against the US dollar on Wednesday, as the American currency recorded a slight decline in the interbank market.

According to market data, the US dollar fell by 3 paise during the trading session, closing at Rs278.27 in the interbank market.

On the previous trading day, the dollar had closed at Rs278.30, reflecting a continuation of the gradual downward trend.

Currency dealers noted that the movement remained limited but consistent, indicating stable sentiment in the foreign exchange market during the session.
