Punjab Budget allocates funds for Lahore High Court, legal services, and judiciary infrastructure

Punjab budget allocates billions for courts, Lahore High Court, legal offices, and judicial infrastructure to improve justice delivery system.

LAHORE (Muhammad Ashfaq) - The Punjab government has allocated significant funds in the annual budget for judicial institutions, including the Lahore High Court, the Advocate General Office Punjab, and legal services.

According to budget details, Rs 22 billion has been allocated for civil courts, while Rs 14 billion has been earmarked for sessions courts.

Separate allocations of Rs 11 billion each have been made for the Lahore High Court, the Advocate General Office, and legal services.

The budget also includes Rs 4.68 billion for the Prosecutor General Department, Rs 2.20 billion for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Rs 420 million for special courts, and Rs 330 million for the construction of lady bar rooms across Punjab.

Additionally, Rs 290 million has been allocated for the Public Prosecution Department, Rs 260 million for labour courts, and Rs 150 million for the Punjab Judicial Academy.

Officials said the allocations aim to ensure timely justice delivery and strengthen the judicial infrastructure across the province.
