Four children drown in pond near Changa Manga

Four children aged 9–11 drowned in a pond in Changa Manga’s Warsingh Wala area while visiting their maternal home. Rescue teams recovered the bodies.

CHANGA MANGA (Web Desk) – Four children lost their lives after drowning in a pond in the Warsingh Wala area of Changa Manga, according to Rescue 1122 officials.

Rescue teams said they reached the scene after receiving an emergency call and recovered all four bodies from the pond. The victims were between 9 and 11 years old.

Local residents said the children had come from Toba Tek Singh to spend their summer holidays at their maternal relatives’ home. At the time of the incident, their parents had gone to a nearby forest to collect firewood.

It was reported that one child slipped into the pond first, and the other three attempted to rescue him, but all four ended up drowning in water reportedly 8 to 10 feet deep.

The tragic incident has left the local community in deep shock and mourning.
