(Web Desk) - US President Donald Trump has dismissed reports claiming that the United States planned to provide Iran with $300 million, calling the allegations ‘completely false’ and ‘political propaganda.’
In a statement posted on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump said the claim was ‘a lie’ being deliberately spread by Democrats.
He stressed that there is no financial assistance being considered for Iran and no such agreement is under discussion within the US administration.
Trump further reiterated that reports suggesting US aid to Iran had no basis in fact and were intended to mislead the public for political purposes.
In his remarks, the US president also claimed that Iran had agreed it would never seek to develop nuclear weapons, though he did not provide further details regarding the statement.
