MISSISSAUGA (Web Desk) – Popular singer, actor and musician Ali Zafar has set a new record in Canada after performing at a massive open-air concert in Mississauga, where an estimated 45,000 people attended the landmark event.

The concert, held at the famous Celebration Square, was described by organisers as the largest musical gathering ever hosted at the venue. Due to the overwhelming turnout, crowds extended beyond the main square into surrounding streets and nearby public spaces.

The performance marked the final show of Ali Zafar’s “Lights Tour 2026” North America leg, attracting a diverse audience including fans from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and other South Asian communities. Families, children, young audiences, and elderly attendees all participated, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere throughout the evening.

Organisers said the event was a free open-air concert that drew one of the largest crowds ever seen in the city, turning the venue into a central hub of cultural celebration and music.

One of the most memorable moments of the night came when Ali Zafar performed his popular hit “Jhoom,” prompting thousands of fans to illuminate their mobile phone lights, transforming the venue into a glowing sea of lights.

During the concert, Ali Zafar also stepped down from the stage and moved among fans, drawing loud cheers and enthusiastic reactions from the crowd. The interaction added a personal touch to the already electrifying atmosphere.

Speaking to the audience, the singer emphasised unity and shared humanity, saying that people should take pride in their cultural roots regardless of where they live in the world. He highlighted the importance of respecting individual choices and freedoms as a way to strengthen bonds within families and communities.

Ali Zafar also spoke about encouraging children’s dreams, the importance of better communication within families, and the need to empower women to make their own decisions. His remarks were warmly received by the audience.

As the concert concluded, thousands of fans continued singing along, while organisers and attendees described the night as one of the most memorable cultural events in Mississauga’s history.
