ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved the supply of wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the direction of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Following the prime minister’s instructions, the Ministry of National Food Security has completed necessary arrangements to ensure wheat delivery to the province. Officials said the decision reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring food availability across regions.
Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain said that the provision of wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa demonstrates the prime minister’s people-friendly policies. He added that the province will receive wheat at the officially fixed price at the start of the wheat season.
He further stated that the federal government is continuing efforts to ensure the supply of affordable wheat to the public through effective policy measures.
Authorities said the move is aimed at maintaining stable wheat availability and supporting consumers across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the upcoming season.
