Federal Constitutional Court sets Dr Aafia Siddiqui case for June 16 hearing, including appeal against contempt proceedings involving PM and cabinet over Islamabad High Court order

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) has fixed the Dr Aafia Siddiqui case for hearing, along with an appeal related to contempt of court proceedings against the prime minister and the federal cabinet.

A two-member bench headed by Chief Justice Aminuddin Khan will hear the case on June 16. The court has also scheduled the appeal filed against the proceedings initiated over alleged contempt involving the prime minister and cabinet members.

The federal government has challenged the decision related to action against the Prime Minister and the cabinet.

The case stems from earlier proceedings in which the Islamabad High Court had ordered contempt of court action over non-compliance in the Dr Aafia Siddiqui case.
