Opposition to stage protest inside, outside parliament during budget session

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The opposition has announced to stage a strong protest both inside and outside the Parliament during the current budget session.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, on Thursday said that the opposition would stage vigorous protests inside and outside the assembly.

He termed the government a failure, saying that the government had failed to achieve its targets, neither the economy has improved nor the desired amount of taxes have been collected.

Barrister Gohar said that our one-point agenda is to ensure medical treatment for the PTI founder and facilitate meetings with him. He expressed serious concern regarding the PTI founder’s medical treatment and access to meetings.

He also stated that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi, would stage a sit-in outside Parliament. Meanwhile, Sohail Afridi has directed all members of the assembly to reach Parliament and has also demanded a meeting with the PTI founder to discuss the budget.
