LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Punjab Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department has suspended three lady doctors from Services Hospital for allegedly issuing manual medico-legal certificates in violation of official procedures.
According to departmental orders, the suspensions were made under Section 6 of the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (PEEDA) Act 2006.
The suspended doctors have been identified as Associate Professor Dr Mansoora Mirza, Dr Ayesha Umar Khan and Dr Umra Sabahat.
Officials said the action was taken on charges of alleged incompetence and misconduct. The suspension orders took immediate effect, and all three doctors have been relieved of their official responsibilities pending further proceedings.
The department has directed the suspended doctors to report to the Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department during the period of suspension.
The case is expected to undergo further inquiry in accordance with applicable disciplinary rules.
