ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The government has decided to increase the quarterly installment of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) to Rs18,000 from the next fiscal year, marking a significant enhancement in financial assistance for low-income families.
The decision was confirmed in relation to the Benazir Income Support Programme, which provides cash support to deserving households across the country.

BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid, stated that the initiative represents dignity and economic independence for poor families, adding that negative propaganda against the programme is condemnable.
She further reiterated that the quarterly payment will be increased to Rs18,000 from the upcoming fiscal year. She also confirmed that from July onwards, all BISP payments will be disbursed exclusively through digital wallets to improve transparency and efficiency.
