(Web Desk) – Iran's Foreign Ministry has warned regional countries against allowing the United States or Israel to use their territory, saying any such assistance would be regarded as a hostile act.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, the Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned recent US actions, describing the attacks as a violation of the United Nations Charter.
It said the helicopter crash had been used as a pretext for launching attacks on Iran and stressed that Iranian armed forces had exercised their legitimate right to self-defence in response.
“We call neighbouring countries to prevent any use of their territories and facilities against Iran,” reads the message.
“While strongly condemning the US crime of military aggression against Iran, we once again recall the legal and moral responsibility of all countries in the region, especially the countries on the southern shores of the Persian Gulf, to prevent any use of their territory and facilities by the US terrorist army and the Zionist regime to plan, organize, execute, and support aggressive actions against Iran, and we warn that Iran will not hesitate to exercise its inherent right to self-defense, including by targeting the origin of attacks and the bases and logistical facilities used for aggressive operations against Iran.”
The ministry said Iranian forces had targeted US military bases in the region and would not hesitate to confront any threat to the country's security.
It called on the United Nations to hold the United States accountable for the attacks, while reiterating its warning that any regional country providing its territory for use by the US or Israel would be considered hostile.
US SHOULD LEAVE OUR REGION: ARAGHCHI
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned the United States in a post on X to leave the region.
He said Washington had chosen to test Iran's resolve despite what he described as failures on the battlefield.
"The United States has decided to challenge our determination despite its setbacks," Araghchi said, adding that Iran's armed forces would not leave any attack or threat unanswered.
The Iranian foreign minister also adopted a tougher stance, making it clear that any future attack would receive a strong response from Tehran.
