ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Electricity prices across Pakistan have been reduced by Rs1.98 per unit, according to a notification issued by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).
The regulator stated that the reduction has been made under the quarterly adjustment mechanism.
According to the notification, the adjustment relates to the period January to March 2026, while the revised tariff will remain applicable for three months from June to August 2026.
Officials said the decision will provide more than Rs67 billion in relief to electricity consumers nationwide.
The notification further confirmed that the tariff reduction will also apply to K-Electric consumers.
The move is expected to bring significant relief to households and businesses amid ongoing economic pressures.
