Gold prices plunge as silver also declines

Gold prices fell sharply in global and Pakistani markets, while silver also recorded significant declines across the country.

KARACHI (Web Desk) - Gold and silver prices witnessed a significant decline in both international and local markets on Saturday.

In the international market, the price of gold fell by $124 per ounce, bringing the new global rate down to $4,328 per ounce.

Following the global trend, gold prices in Pakistan's bullion markets also recorded a sharp decrease. The price of 24-karat gold per tola dropped by Rs12,489, settling at Rs455,327.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold declined by Rs11,240 to reach Rs389,772.

Silver prices also moved lower in the domestic market. The price of silver per tola fell by Rs463 to Rs7,267, while the rate for 10 grams of silver decreased by Rs421 to Rs6,202.
