Gold prices drop by Rs12,479 in Pakistan

Gold and silver prices dropped sharply in local and global markets, with per tola gold falling by Rs12,479 in Pakistan after a major decline in international bullion rates.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Gold and silver prices witnessed a significant decline in both international and local bullion markets, with domestic rates dropping sharply following a fall in global prices.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola in Pakistan decreased by Rs12,479, bringing the new rate down to Rs455,327.

In the local market, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs11,240 to Rs389,772. Meanwhile, the price of silver also recorded a notable decline, with per tola silver becoming cheaper by Rs463 and settling at Rs7,267.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce dropped by 124 dollars and 89 cents, reaching 4,328 dollars and 92 cents.

The decline in global gold prices was reflected in the domestic market, leading to a substantial reduction in the prices of both precious metals.
