(Web Desk) - Pakistani singer and actor Falak Shabir has urged Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to introduce legislation regarding dress codes in public places.
Taking to Instagram, Falak Shabir shared a story praising the Punjab government's decision to ban vaping in the province, calling it a positive step.
However, the singer said that as a father of two daughters, he wanted to make a humble request to Maryam Nawaz to consider introducing laws related to people wearing revealing clothes in public places, markets and on roads.
"It is a very good initiative, but as a father of two daughters, I humbly request Maryam Nawaz to make some law for those wearing short clothes in public places, markets and on roads. Otherwise, culturally we will be destroyed," he wrote.
The singer's remarks have sparked discussion on social media, with users expressing differing views on the issue of personal freedom, cultural values and public dress standards.
