ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has constituted an eight-member committee to develop a framework for the establishment of commercial courts in Pakistan.
According to a notification issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the committee will prepare a draft plan for setting up commercial courts in the country and submit its report within 45 days.
Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar has been appointed as the head of the committee.
The panel includes the Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan, Federal Minister Bilal Azhar Kayani, Secretary Law, and legal experts Faisal Nadeem Naqvi, Ali Almani, Zainab Janjua, and Ibrahim Afridi.
The committee has been tasked with preparing a comprehensive proposal aimed at strengthening the commercial dispute resolution system in the country through specialized courts.
