Global economy, AI and investment dominate second day of St. Petersburg Economic Forum

Global leaders and investors discussed economic cooperation, AI, trade, and investment opportunities during the second day of SPIEF.

ST. PETERSBURG (Shahid Ghuman) - Key discussions on the global economy, investment, artificial intelligence, and international trade cooperation took center stage on the second day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, attracting government officials, investors, and business leaders from around the world.

Participants in various sessions exchanged views on global economic challenges, access to emerging markets, and the growing role of advanced technologies in economic development. Speakers emphasized the need for greater international cooperation and coordinated strategies to address rapidly changing economic conditions.

Economic cooperation among BRICS nations, the digital economy, energy, logistics, and industrial development were among the major themes discussed during the day's proceedings. Delegations from different countries also held bilateral meetings to explore new trade and investment opportunities.

A pavilion hosted by Saudi Arabia, the forum's guest country, drew significant attention from attendees. The exhibition highlighted the Kingdom's Vision 2030 initiative, investment prospects, energy projects, and tourism development plans.

Speaking to Dunya News, Rana Atiq Anwar said the forum serves as a major international platform that brings together leading businesses and investors from across the globe.

He noted that Pakistan could benefit from the opportunities available at the event and expressed hope that more Pakistani companies would participate in future editions of the forum. According to him, such international gatherings help open new avenues for economic cooperation, trade, and investment among nations.

Forum participants also told Dunya News that strengthening investment and trade links has become increasingly important amid current global economic challenges. They said the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is proving to be an effective platform for promoting economic partnerships and identifying solutions to shared challenges.
