(Web Desk) – A CCTV video from a restaurant in the United Kingdom has gone viral on social media after a customer was allegedly caught placing her own hair into a meal before complaining to staff.
According to footage shared by the restaurant, the woman was dining with her family when she appeared to pull a strand of hair from her head and place it into a dish. She was later seen calling a waitress and requesting that the meal be replaced.
Restaurant management said staff immediately provided a fresh dish in response to the complaint. However, the family reportedly chose to have the replacement meal packed to take home, as they had already finished eating.
The incident came to light after management reviewed CCTV footage, which allegedly showed the woman placing the hair in the dish herself. The restaurant later shared details of the incident on Facebook, along with the video.
In its post, the restaurant said the customer had complained about finding a hair in her child's meal and was promptly offered a replacement, which she accepted before taking it home.
The management further claimed that CCTV footage also showed the woman leaving with a ketchup bottle, an ice cream bowl and a teaspoon. In a light-hearted remark, the restaurant noted that such items were not part of its takeaway menu.
The post has since gained significant attention online, with many social media users praising the restaurant for its transparency and prompt handling of the situation.
