HAFIZABAD (Web Desk) – A rickshaw driver in Hafizabad set his vehicle on fire after being issued a traffic challan, according to police.
Police said a traffic warden fined the driver near the railway crossing, after which the driver became enraged and set his rickshaw ablaze.
The driver claimed he took the extreme step because he was frustrated by what he described as frequent heavy fines imposed on him.
Meanwhile, District Police Officer (DPO) Kamran Hameed said the concerned traffic warden had been suspended and an investigation into the incident had been launched.
